Describe a time something that landed on you as a problem became, in your hands, an opportunity. What did you see that others didn't?

Why this works
Reframing is the cheapest creative move to claim and the hardest to fake in detail: the answer has to show the moment the frame flipped and what the flip made possible. Asking what others saw separates real re-seeing from hindsight gilding a piece of ordinary firefighting.
Follow-up probes
- What did it look like while it was still just a problem?
- What made you look at it differently?
- What did pursuing the opportunity cost or displace?
- What came of it — concretely?
What good looks like
A problem serious enough that the reframe wasn't obvious, a nameable trigger for seeing it differently, honest accounting of what chasing the opportunity displaced, and an outcome that exists somewhere beyond the story.
Red flags
The "problem" was obviously an opportunity all along, the reframe is retrospective varnish on routine damage control, no trade-off is acknowledged anywhere, or the opportunity never became anything and the telling hides that.
